WTW Global Insights and Analytics Lead in New York, New York

This position can be based anywhere in the United States, Canada or United Kingdom.

Summary

The Health & Benefits business is looking for a Global Insights and Analytics Lead who is hands-on and leads by example. In this role, you will both lead and execute the design, development, and maintenance of scalable data solutions or products for internal and external stakeholders. You will leverage your expertise with applied statistics, machine learning and forecasting models to deliver modern advanced analytic solutions while recognizing when it is possible to deliver equivalent value through simple, traditional analytic approaches. You will lead, mentor, and guide data scientists and actuaries on the team and collaborate with business stakeholders to transform data-driven insights and solutions from concept to execution.

What you will do

  • As the global insights and analytics lead, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and executing data-driven solutions that support the strategic goals and objectives for the Global Health and Benefits business.

  • Lead development and/or integration of our actuarial and analytics solutions across all regions ensuring they are market-relevant, commercially viable and scalable across clients and markets.

  • Responsible for developing and implementing forecasting, machine learning models and advanced statistical methods that can solve complex business problems and generate value for our clients.

  • You will lead a team of actuaries and data scientists who use advanced analytics, machine learning, and applied statistics to generate insights and recommendations from various global sources of data curated from across Health & Benefits, including client relationship management, accounting, broking, and external carrier data.

  • You will collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to understand their needs and provide them with actionable insights and solutions.

  • You will establish and maintain best practices and standards for data quality, analysis, and reporting, and ensure compliance with data privacy and security policies in collaboration with the Global Data Governance Lead and the Global Technical Data Management Lead.

  • You will communicate and present your findings and recommendations to internal and external audiences as required, using clear and compelling visualizations and narratives.

Requirements:

  • A bachelor's degree or higher in a quantitative field, such as statistics, mathematics, computer science, engineering, actuarial science, or economics.

  • 10+ years of experience in a data role with increasing responsibilities for leading and managing data analytics teams and delivering complex analytic products or solutions.

  • Experience in working with large and complex datasets, using various tools and platforms such as Data Bricks, Python, R, SQL, Spark

  • Proficiency in using various data visualization tools such as Power BI, or similar.

  • Experience in applying machine learning, forecasting, and statistical modeling techniques to solve complex business problems.

  • Experience in working with healthcare data, such as electronic health records or claims data is preferred but not required.

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to translate complex data into clear and actionable insights for diverse audiences.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to handle ambiguity and uncertainty.

  • Passion for learning and innovation, with the ability to adapt to changing business needs and technologies.

Compensation and Benefits

Base salary range and benefits information for this position are being included in accordance with requirements of various state/local pay transparency legislation. Please note that salaries may vary for different individuals in the same role based on several factors, including but not limited to location of the role, individual competencies, education/professional certifications, qualifications/experience, performance in the role and potential for revenue generation (Producer roles only).

Compensation

The base salary compensation range being offered for this role is $150,000 - $250,000 USD for US based applicants and $125,000 - $200,000 CAD for Canadian based applicants.

This role is also eligible for an annual short term incentive bonus.
