WTW Global Benefits Consultant in Boston, Massachusetts

This is a remote position; candidate must reside in the United States.

The Role

The position of Associate Director in the WTW’s US Health & Benefits (H&B) Global Practice is a diverse and exciting position for someone with demonstrated global benefits and rewards experience. You will be an important member of a dedicated global benefit team that delivers global solutions and services to our US H&B clients, principally those in the US Mid-Market.

You will both lead and serve as a contributing global team member on a wide range of client engagements. Some of these include serving as a primary day to day global coordination consultant in WTW’s Global Benefits Management (GBM) service model, effectively deploying WTW’s global resources, solutions and tools in support of a client’s GBM engagement. In this important work, you will interface directly with client teams across the globe, manage a GBM process featuring global brokerage, consolidation and oversight, global reporting and ongoing advice to clients.

Beyond GBM support, you will lead and contrite in teams to global benefits and reward benchmarking projects, support global benefits strategy development, bring solutions and insights to H&B clients using WTW surveys, data and insights. You will be expected to navigate WTW’s global resources and specialty teams effectively and deploy our global client service standards and tools in your daily work.

In addition, there will be an opportunity to contribute to important practice advancement initiatives, broader US H&B transformation efforts and practice operations. A big part of this role involves working effectively with US H&B client teams in local markets to educate and inform them on WTW’s global solution set, resources and vetting of opportunities and client challenges. You will have the opportunity to support sales and client development with other WTW pursuit team resources.

The Responsibilities

  • Manage complex global engagements, in the process demonstrating your experience and understanding of global client challenges and the application of relevant solutions.

  • Facilitate the development and execution of global benefits and rewards strategies, coordinating various types of global benchmarking projects, managing Global Benefits Management (GBM) relationships, assisting clients with their global expansion efforts through the introduction of new local country benefit programs.

  • Deliver superior, consistent project management on multi-country projects such as global benefits management.

  • Be a trusted advisor both internally and with client contacts through effective communication and efficient, quality execution of projects.

  • Build relationships internally and collaborate effectively on cross-functional teams.

  • Support new business RFPs and ongoing support as part of the broader team.

The Requirements

  • 10+ years of global benefits experience with demonstrated success applying global expertise, preferably in global brokerage and consulting industry.

  • A strong foundation in understanding local market requirements, typical employer practices and culturally ingrained nuances associated with foreign benefits management and delivery.

  • A good degree of knowledge of global and local market vendors, including new and innovative ways employers are being compelling with global benefits and rewards.

  • An understanding of emerging trends and client applications to manage risk, optimize the performance of global benefit offerings and deliver on client talent objectives around the world.

  • Strong client relationship, interpersonal and team skills

  • Confidence speaking on global issues and leading in front of senior client buyers is key

  • Professional presence with strong oral and written communication skills

  • Analytical and creative skills

  • The ability to see the "big picture," leveraging the resources of related practices to address the clients' business challenges

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft programs: Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams

  • Availability to travel on an as needed basis

  • BA/BS degree, preferred but not required

  • Experience living and working overseas, and foreign language skills preferred, but not required

Compensation and Benefits

Base salary range and benefits information for this position are being included in accordance with requirements of various state/local pay transparency legislation. Please note that salaries may vary for different individuals in the same role based on several factors, including but not limited to location of the role, individual competencies, education/professional certifications, qualifications/experience, performance in the role and potential for revenue generation (Producer roles only).

Compensation

The base salary compensation range being offered for this role is 125,000.00 - 140,000.00 USD per year.

This role is also eligible for an annual short-term incentive bonus.
