WTW Senior Business Analyst in Chicago, Illinois

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Business Analyst to join our dynamic commercial team. The Business Analyst will play a crucial role in supporting various activities within the sales organization, including forecasting, sales reporting, data analysis, and client analysis. Additionally, this role will be contributing to strategic and operational initiatives and coordinating with various stakeholders across the organization to support both the regional Commercial Leader and North American Practice Leader.

Your attention to detail, experience gathering, organizing, and collating data from various sources will inform key business decisions on how and where we allocate resources and make smart data driven decisions that will support our ambitious growth targets in North America.

The Role

Revenue Forecasting:

  • Work closely with the Practice Leader and finance stakeholders to develop revenue forecasts.

  • Gather input from sales teams, market trends, and financial data to inform revenue projections.

  • Prepares revenue and pipeline composition analytics for sales and leadership team meetings.

  • Supports and coordinates regular key deal review and forecast calls.

  • Participate in budgeting and planning processes to align revenue forecasts with overall financial objectives.

Sales Forecasting:

  • Assist with pipeline management processes, improve CRM pipeline hygiene and accuracy.

  • Analyze win/losses to identify areas for improvement in the sales process.

  • Regularly review and refine forecasting models to improve accuracy and reliability.

  • Contribute to the development of sales forecasts based on historical data and market trends.

  • Evaluate the sales pipeline and identify bottlenecks or opportunities for improvement.

  • Support with coordination of new business prospecting activities

Sales Reporting:

  • Compile and analyze sales data to generate insightful reporting and surface trends for management review.

  • Identify key performance indicators (KPIs) and track sales metrics to assess performance against targets.

  • Prepare and present reports detailing sales trends, opportunities, and challenges.

Data Analysis:

  • Conduct in-depth analysis of sales and revenue data to identify patterns, trends, and opportunities for improvement.

  • Work cross-functionally with other departments to gather and analyze data relevant to sales operations.

  • Provide actionable insights to support decision-making and strategic planning.

  • Analyze data to draw business-relevant conclusions and in data visualization techniques and tools.

Client Analysis and Sales Planning:

  • Supports Annual and Quarterly Sales, Account and Business planning processes.

  • Assist in analyzing client behavior, preferences, and purchasing patterns.

  • Collaborate with the marketing and sales team to identify upsell and cross-sell opportunities based on client analysis.

  • Analyzes client retention rates and identify strategies to improve them.

Strategic Collaboration:

  • Act as a trusted advisor to the Practice Leader, providing strategic support and operational guidance.

  • Assist in coordinating and prioritizing initiatives and projects within the organization.

  • Support the completion of varied projects such as new product launches, marketing initiatives and new market penetrations.

  • Serve as a liaison between the Practice Leader and other departments, facilitating communication and alignment on key objectives.

  • Contribute to the development and implementation of organizational strategies and initiatives.

The Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or related field.

  • 5-7 years of relevant experience in business analysis, sales operations, or related roles.

  • Strong analytical skills with proficiency in data analysis and techniques.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.

  • Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and quality of work.

  • Proven ability to multitask and manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.

  • Strong command of Microsoft Excel.

  • Experience with business intelligence tools and CRM software (MS Dynamics is a plus).

Compensation and Benefits

Base salary range and benefits information for this position are being included in accordance with requirements for various state/local pay transparency legislation. Please note that base salaries may vary for different individuals in the same role base on several factors, including but not limited to location of the role, individual qualifications, education/profession certifications, experience, performance in the role and potential for revenue generation (Producer roles only).

Compensation

The base salary compensation range being offered for this role is $80,000- $110,000 USD per year. This role is also eligible for an annual short-term incentive bonus.
