WTW P&C Actuarial Senior Consultant – Personal Lines Pricing in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania
Description
WTW is looking for a pricing actuary with personal lines insurance experience in the U.S. market to join as a Senior Consultant in our Insurance Consulting and Technology (ICT) practice. In this role, you will collaborate with our team of pricing, portfolio management, underwriting, finance and claims experts to deliver consulting and technology solutions to our personal lines insurance clients.
ICT provides a powerful combination of advisory services for insurance companies, integrated with leading-edge technology solutions and software, all underpinned by unparalleled analytical capability. WTW has ambitious growth plans for our North America P&C propositions, especially for Pricing, Product, Claims and Underwriting (PPCU). Our goal is to substantially increase our footprint in advising insurance clients on the efficiency and effectiveness of their Underwriting, Pricing, Product Development, Distribution and Sales capabilities and to further establish the WTW Pricing and Underwriting Platform as the key enabler of actuarial transformation.
This position can be based in a major U.S. Market and is open to remote/virtual work.

The Responsibilities
Lead, build, and participate on teams to deliver actuarial-focused client projects
Execute work on client projects such as rate indications work, predictive model builds and peer reviews, regulatory filing engagements, and best practice pricing and analytics reviews
Meet billable hour target and support the team in sales, operating as a highly respected and effective consultant
Leverage actuarial and market knowledge to serve as a subject matter expert
Develop a trusted advisor relationship with client contacts through effective communication
Listen critically to client challenges to scope, craft, and deliver on engagements
Discuss and demonstrate applications of WTW’s technology products to clients
Build relationships internally and collaborate effectively on cross-functional teams
Serve as a mentor and project manager to more junior colleagues, training them on both the technical and theoretical aspects of pricing as well as project delivery methods
Constantly seek out opportunities to improve efficiency in our delivery models and to develop new propositions and client offerings
Qualifications
The Requirements
Minimum of 5 years personal lines industry experience
ACAS required; FCAS preferred
Experience in personal lines actuarial pricing, including extensive experience with rate level indications
Comprehensive understanding of regulatory filing requirements, including providing actuarial support for filings and objections
Capable of leveraging past experience and expertise to adapt to current projects and challenges outside of core skill set
Comfortable navigating ambiguity and developing innovation solutions
Committed to training and mentoring less experienced colleagues
Practiced in managing complex projects and delegating work to senior and junior colleagues
Available to travel as needed
Nice to Haves
Exposure to WTW’s Radar technology
Experience leading or participating on actuarial transformation projects

Compensation and Benefits
Base salary range and benefits information for this position are being included in accordance with requirements of various state/local pay transparency legislation. Please note that salaries may vary for different individuals in the same role based on several factors, including but not limited to location of the role, individual competencies, education/professional certifications, qualifications/experience, performance in the role and potential for revenue generation (Producer roles only).
Compensation
The base salary compensation range being offered for this role is $140,000 - $180,000 USD per year. This role is also eligible for an annual short-term incentive bonus.
