WTW Cyber Defence Assurance Specialist in Reigate, United Kingdom

The Cyber Defence Assurance Specialist plays a pivotal role within our Global Information and Cyber Security Defence (ICSD) function, ensuring the highest standards of cyber defence across the organisation. This role demands a proactive approach to supporting our global incident response teams, providing an essential quality assurance function with a global security operations centre (GSOC) focus. This role supports continuous service improvements for incident response, ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements such as DORA and NYDFS, and fostering a culture of security awareness.

The Role:

  • Collaborate closely with the Cyber Defence Assurance Team Manager and other specialists to update procedural documents for GSOC.

  • Assist in audit responses, focusing on GSOC requirements. This includes obtaining audit evidence from technical systems such as the SIEM and case management system.

  • Coordinate responses for Requests for Information relating to GSOC.

  • Develop and deliver key reports and presentations, particularly for GSOC, to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

  • Assist with quality assurance for cyber incidents, with a special emphasis on GSOC, ensuring compliance with policies and best practices.

  • Collaborate closely with the Cyber Defence Assurance Team Manager and specialists to ensure that Case Management systems capture information in alignment with frameworks, regulatory bodies and best practice.

  • Support audit checks for leavers, ensuring thorough documentation and account closure.

  • Organize and coordinate workshops, capturing minutes, actions, and business decisions.

  • Deputize for the other Cyber Defence Assurance Team members as required.

The Requriements:

  • Experience in cyber security including the incident response lifecycle

  • Understanding of the function of a Security Operations Center.

  • Familiarity with Information Security standards, regulations, and frameworks (NIST, ISO27001).

  • Strong communication skills, able to engage technical and non-technical audiences.

  • Able to conduct data analysis, trend identification, and root cause analysis.

  • Effective organisational skills, detail-oriented, with a track record in Quality Assurance.

  • Experience in undergoing audits, inspections, and evidence collection.
